সাতক্ষীরায় পাওনা টাকা দিতে মাছ ব্যবসায়ীকে বাসায় ডেকে ব্লাকমেইলের মাধ্যমে টাকা আদায়ের অভিযোগ উঠেছে। এঘটনায় ভুক্তভোগীর অভিযোগে দুই নারীকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ।
রোববার (২০ এপ্রিল) রাত ৯টার দিকে শহরের শহীদ আব্দুর রাজ্জাক পার্ক এলাকার শহীদ মিনারের পেছন থেকে তাদের আটক করা হয়।
আটক দুই নারী হলেন- সাতক্ষীরা সদর উপজেলার বিনেরপোতা এলাকার মুজিবুর রহমানের মেয়ে জোসনা খাতুন (২৬) এবং আশাশুনি উপজেলার গোনাকরকাটি এলাকার বিল্লাল হোসেনের মেয়ে মুন্নি (২৫)। তারা শহরের একাডেমি মসজিদ এলাকায় ভাড়া থাকেন।
ভুক্তভোগী বড়বাজারের মাছ ব্যবসায়ী ও শহরের উত্তর কাটিয়া এলাকার আবু সাঈদের ছেলে মিজানুর রহমান জানান, জোসনা খাতুন এক সময় তার বাড়ির ভাড়াটিয়া ছিলেন। সেই সুবাদে তাদের মধ্যে পরিচয় হয় এবং মাঝেমধ্যে জোসনা তার কাছ থেকে বাকিতে মাছ নিতেন। রোববার বিকেলে বকেয়া ১৩০০ টাকা ফেরত দেওয়ার কথা বলে জোসনা খাতুন তাকে বাসায় ডাকেন।
তিনি বলেন, বিকেল সাড়ে ৫টার দিকে শহরের একাডেমি মসজিদের পাশে তার বাসায় গেলে তিনি আমাকে বসতে বলেন। এরপর দুই মিনিটের মধ্যে ৮-১০ জন যুবক এসে আমাকে মারধর শুরু করে। পরে হাত বেঁধে ২ লাখ টাকা দাবি করে। অনেক অনুরোধের পর তারা ৩৫ হাজার টাকায় রাজি হয়। তখন আমার শ্যালক নুরু ৩৫ হাজার টাকা নিয়ে আসে। পরে একজন আমার মোবাইল নিয়ে আমার শালক নুরুর কাছ থেকে ৩৫ হাজার টাকা নিয়ে আসেন। এরপর আমাকে ছেড়ে দেন।
এদিকে পরে বিষয়টি সদর থানা পুলিশকে জানালে তাৎক্ষণিক অভিযান চালিয়ে দুই নারীকে আটক করা হয়। স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগ ওই দুই নারী একটি চক্রের সদস্য। তারা সাধারণ মানুষকে ফাঁদে ফেলে ব্লাকমেইল করে টাকা আদায় করেন।
সাতক্ষীরা সদর থানার ওসি শামিনুল হক বলেন, এক মাছ ব্যবসায়ীকে ব্ল্যাকমেইল করে টাকা আদায় করা হয়েছে। এমন অভিযোগে দুইজন নারীকে আটক করা হয়েছে। তাদের বিরুদ্ধে ভুক্তভোগী ব্যবসায়ী মামলা করেছে।
